Snapshots are good for capturing a moment of fun, but when it comes to photographing the ship and the ocean, you might want to you’re your time to find the best angle and to use the optimal camera settings. A picture of the ocean, for instance, will be much more impressive – and a much better memory trigger – if it shows the edge of the ship as well, or the frame of your porthole. Finally, don’t overdo it. Sophisticated cameras, professional tripods and several sets of lenses might guarantee you a set of technically perfect pictures, but unless you intend to use them in some photography contest, you might find it much more convenient to use a regular camera, or even a disposable one. When you open that album at home, you probably won’t do it to review the colour balance or the smoothness of the edges, but to remember the wonderful time you had on the cruise. So just relax, and say cruise! We have avoided adding flimsy points on cruise, as we find that the addition of such points have no effect on cruise.
